Customer Service Experienced

PLEASE READ ENTIRE POST BEFORE APPLYING!

We are looking for an energetic new team member who can work confidently and independently in a busy environment, while providing exceptional customer service.  This position will be a combination of indoor and outdoor work. The type of work varies by season and daily demand, but you can expect to WORK HARD, get dirty and maybe a little wet at times.  


This could be a part time or full time position with hours varying between 20-40 per week Tuesday through Saturday. Schedule flexibility is required to fill store needs when necessary. This job is essential for successful day to day operations and we are looking for someone who can start immediately. 


Pay will range between $14.49 to $20 per hour based on position and experience.  This is not an entry level position. 

Minimum Requirements:

Customer Service 2

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent 
  • At least 2 years retail & sales experience 
  • 18 years or older with valid Washington state driver's license
  • Reliable transportation 
  • Available for flexible scheduling when needed
  • Familiar with Point of Sale Systems and functionality
  • Ability to work through minor software and hardware technology issues
  • Excellent critical and problem-solving skills
  • Written and verbal communications skills
  • Basic sales training and skills
  • Ability to perform simple calculations
  • Maintains professional appearance and behaviors
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and busy environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel 


Additional Requirements for Customer Service 3

  • Leadership experience 
  • Knowledge or experience with inventory management 
  • Experience with purchasing and receiving products
  • Proficient with Internet & Social Media Use 


The following is a plus but not required:
*Knowledge of pets & livestock
*Forklift driving experience
*UHAUL experience 

Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

Customer Service 2

  • Acknowledge, approach and assist customers promptly with the ability to handle multiple customers effectively.
  • Direct customers to a senior staff member if unable to provide needed assistance and knowledge.
  • Share information on store events, promotions and activities with customers. 
  • Pick customer orders and load product in customer vehicles or trailers.
  • Unload, organize and properly stock weekly shipments. 
  • Frequently lift 50-80lbs and use pallet jack to push/pull up 2000lbs of product.
  • Clean poultry cages and replenish feed and water. 
  • Assist with care of store animals.
  • Take initiative to learn about products and customer names.
  • Daily cleaning and product placement.
  • Ensure the safety of all employees, customers, and animals. 
  • Assess and meet customer merchandise and service needs by sharing product knowledge, answering questions and directing customers to products. 
  • Help resolve customer problems and make suggestions/share product knowledge to turn returns into exchanges. 
  • Promptly and accurately process all point-of-sale transactions. 
  • Unload, organize and properly stock weekly shipments. 
  • Perform routine inventory counts and submit reports to the Store Manager
  • Carry out other store administrative tasks as directed by the Store Manager
  • Up-sell to customers through recommendations 
  • Reserve and process U-haul rentals. 
  • Accept Package Express/Access Point shipments. 
  • Other duties as assigned


Additional Responsibilities for Customer Service 3

  • Place and receive product orders. 
  • Researching product and pricing information for customers. 
  • Manage day to day operations, including directing and leading fellow employees. 
  • Other administrative duties as assigned
