Customer Service Associate




We are looking for an energetic new team member who can work confidently and independently in a busy environment, while providing exceptional customer service.  This position will be a combination of indoor and outdoor work. The type of work varies by season and daily demand, but you can expect to WORK HARD, get dirty and maybe a little wet at times.  

This is a part time position with a rotating schedule. Hours will vary between 15-20 hours per week but there will be opportunities for more hours and responsibilities. Schedule flexibility is required to fill store needs when necessary. This job is essential for successful day to day operations and we are looking for someone who can start immediately.  

Pay will be a minimum of $12/hour DOE during the training period with the possibility of an increase after a 90-day probationary period and performance evaluation.   

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent 
  • At least 2 years retail & sales experience 
  • 18 years or older with valid Washington state driver's license
  • Reliable transportation 
  • Available for flexible scheduling when needed 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel 
  • Proficient with Internet & Social Media Use

The following is a plus but not required:
*Knowledge of pets & livestock
*Forklift driving experience
*UHAUL experience 

Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

This job will be a combination of indoor and outdoor work. The type of work varies by season and daily demand, but you can expect to work hard, get dirty and maybe a little wet at times. 

  • Acknowledge, approach and assist customers promptly with the ability to handle multiple customers effectively.
  • Assess and meet customer merchandise and service needs by sharing product knowledge, answering questions and directing customers to products. 
  • Help resolve customer problems and make suggestions/share product knowledge to turn returns into exchanges. 
  • Share information on store events, promotions and activities with customers. 
  • Promptly and accurately process all point-of-sale transactions. 
  • Unload, organize and properly stock weekly shipments. 
  • Frequently lift 50-80lb bags and push/pull 2,000lb pallet jack. 
  • Clean poultry cages, replenish feed and water. 
  • Assist with care of store animals.
  • Daily cleaning and product placement. 
  • Reserve and process Uhaul rentals. 
  • Accept Package Express/UPS shipments.
